WHERE THE MOUNTAIN PEAKS TOUCH THE SKY

Kootenay Pass BC

KOOTENAY PASS

A 35-minute drive west from Creston, this is one of the highest mountain pass roads in North America open year-round and is a mountain lover’s paradise. While Creston is mostly snow-free in the winter, you can still find beautiful snowshoeing, snowmobiling and back-country skiing on the Kootenay Pass, and especially in Stagleap Provincial Park at the top.

In Summer the park makes for a great spot for a scenic hike along these serene mountain ridges or amongst the ancient cedars along the Ka Papa Trail farther down the pass. If its the serenity of the mountains you seek, then you will find it here.
