3 Day Adventure

Explore Creston Valley with this 3-day Exploration Itinerary.

DAY 1

Drive out to the Kootenay-Columbia Discover Centre located 11 km west of Creston off Hwy 3 in the Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area for a guided walking tour with a naturalist through the wetlands.

In the afternoon, kayak with Paddle and Portage along the Kootenay River, home to several species and thousands of plants. 

Head over to Jimmy’s Pub & Grill for delicious dinner on a beautiful patio and then end the day unwinding by soaking in the hot tub at the Creston & District Community Complex.

DAY 2

Head to Kuskanook Harbour to take a fishing charter on Kootenay Lake with Blacktail Ridge Eco Tours. Enjoy the beauty and deep waters this lake offers.

Upon returning to Kuskanook, hop in your car and head to Twin Bay Beach for a picnic and a swim.

On the drive back to Creston, stop in and have dinner at the Sirdar Station Pub and get a sense of the local history.

DAY 3

Head to Yahk Provincial Park is located conveniently just off the highway. Quiet and low-key with camping sites, picnic area, gorgeous trees and the Moyie River
running alongside it, this park is a great place to stop for a breather.
